muay thai pads session

Thai kickboxing aka the art of 8 limbs private sessions: will focus on areas you are most interested in sharpening your skills. Whether you are a beginner or are more advanced looking for a pad holder, I will adjust accordingly and develop a session specific to your goals. You will warm-up (rope, shadowbox, work a couple of bag rounds (feedback will be provided) and then jump on pads). Please bring a jump rope, water, and all of your gear including sparring gloves. If you are new to Muay Thai, I am happy to lend you gear upon request.

About Your Trainer

Mandi is approaching 10 years of Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing) experience and has trained in various martial arts over the years. Specifically, she has led strength & conditioning, group Muay Thai and kickboxing classes, one-on-one self-defense lessons, group self-defense workshops, women’s self-defense, and queer-centered self-defense classes from Philly to Portland and soon, here in LA. Mandi has trained under and with legendary martial artists, learned from pros over the years, visited gyms across the country, and most recently trained in Thailand. Mandi continues to enter new classes and gyms with a beginner’s mindset -understanding the potential to continue learning from different teachers and teammates is endless. Mandi has a deep reverence for Thai culture and tradition which inspires her to instill the playful spirit of traditional Thai style training into her sessions. That being said, her one-on-one sessions are intended to be empowering and centered on the goals of the client; she is open to sparring, pad-holding, dutch-drills, offering strength and conditioning exercises, recovery stretches, and mobility tips in addition to the central focus of the session. No two sessions will be the same. All are welcome!
