Why ONLINE Hypnotherapy?
Recently, I’ve had clients ask why I’m encouraging hypnotherapy sessions to be online. This is a great question, and I’m honestly surprised by my response! An old narrative of mine was that ‘online spaces could not be as powerful’. I went so far as to resist learning how to facilitate online, even when I was asked numerous times to do so. Thanks to self-hypnosis, I rewrote my relationship with online spaces, and I’m so grateful I did! Some of the most profound hypnotherapy sessions (where I was the client) have been online. In my personal experience, I have come to love online hypnotherapy as I am often reflective and deeply relaxed afterwards. The thought of having to *drive* on the freeway sounds terrible! Similar to the feelings you experience after a bodywork session, but perhaps even more fuzzy in mind.
Many people find that hypnotherapy works especially well online because the body feels more at ease in a familiar space. We begin by orienting to breath, identifying sensation, and safety, allowing the nervous system to settle before moving inward. From there, we drift into a focused, receptive state of trance where the subconscious can be met with curiosity. You remain aware, present, and autonomous — able to speak, move, or pause whenever needed. Hypnosis is not something that is *done to you*. It is a collaborative process where we listen to the body’s cues, follow what is ready, and allow change to emerge organically.
Online hypnotherapy can support stress relief, emotional integration, trauma healing, habit change, and moments of deep reorientation. Sessions move at the pace your system sets, honoring both tenderness and strength. What matters most is not physical proximity, but the quality of presence we can share together.
