bodydrift is back in action!
read up on winter solstice specials &
news from the practice

Hello lovely humans –
If you’re receiving this e-mail you either agreed to hear from me or have been a client of my healing arts practice. If you prefer not to be contacted, please feel free to unsubscribe. I assure you I will write you no more than once per month. If you’re curious, a friend, a client, or a combo of the two, please read on (and thank you)!
Before I share fun / nerdy blog posts about Thai medicine-related study, meditation, dharma, etc. it made sense that I first thank you for being here – for joining me on this journey and for the continued trust and support. For much of November, I was in Thailand locating time for stillness, rest, and connection (among many other unexpected experiences – best described by my meditation teacher Noah here). I’m grateful the journey went further to provide me with guidance and clarity for the year ahead. Expect changes to my website and schedule as I expand beyond bodywork offerings to include my first love-> movement as medicine. In addition to these changes, there is potential for a relocation of the practice. While I’d prefer to stay in the cozy cottage, it may be needed in order to increase my availability. That being said, I would love to hear your input on a potential relocation of the practice if you would be so generous to share.
For now, in honor of the hectic holiday season (whether you celebrate or not), the Body Drift Healing Arts is providing the following specials:
>>> As an expression of gratitude, the Body Drift Healing Arts welcomes all sessions free of add-on charges from December to February. In other words, the energy exchange rate is based on the length of the scheduled session only (!!!!) Try cupping, try an herbal heat compress massage with herbs from Thailand, try a Thai-style floor massage – whatever you’d like from the menu – each at the same rate. (now a couple photos from BKK)

baby Thai herbal heat compresses in Bangkok!

fresh herbs used to craft the compresses – learn more about this type of session under ”offerings” on the practice’s website ❤
>>>Gift certificates are available at accessible rates now through February 14. For each gift certificate purchased or client referral made now through February, your next session will be extended for 30 minutes (at no additional cost). Gift certificates are available in printed paper or digital formats→ 80 minutes for $80 for in-office sessions and 60 minutes for $90 or 90 min for $110 for mobile sessions. Purchase 3 gift certificates and get one free! You may either choose to set up the day and time for your loved one or allow them to do so. Simply send an email to thebodydrift@gmail.com to arrange.
>>>Monthly Self-Care Rate – a commitment to your self-care for 6 months; book one 60-minute session of your choice (any offering/combo) monthly to receive the adjusted rate (can freeze for travel, etc) – $85/month (please e-mail thebodydrift@gmail.com to add your name to the list if this is of interest to you – a few slots are opening!)
Please remember, rest is a gift that can be critical for oneself and for loved ones– it is not an act of indulgence. We must rest to repair, to find clarity, to soothe our nervous systems, to deal with grief, to manage pain, to mend our hearts, to strengthen our muscles and so much more. For more on this topic, go check out the radical work of ‘the nap ministry‘. They truly get it!
If bodywork is not in the cards for you at the moment, I invite you to restore and nurture yourself during this winter solstice season wherever possible. Here’s a beautiful self-soothing meditation for the basic needs of the heart you may enjoy at any time. This one focuses on body awareness and is led by the amazing Valarie Mason John. Another treat for your listening pleasure, savor this 4-hour celestial gong playlist you didn’t know you needed until it arrived in your inbox today 🙂 It features two amazingly talented musicians Andre 3000 and Philly’s Laraaji.
We take care of one another!
With hopes to cross paths soon,
