The following are great resources for better understanding why this deck is truly unique and its connection to ancient wisdom teachings. In addition, this is a brief write-up by the artist who designed this recent version of her original deck from the late 70s, the iconic PENNY SLINGER.

Beyond the Tibetan Buddhist dakini teachings mentioned above, this deck goes further to include lessons/imagery from Hinduism, Thai Yogic Philosophy, & additional Eastern teachings. This emphasizes it’s ‘tantric’ classification. While there are clear spiritual ties to this deck, readings are available & will benefit all – with or without a spiritual practice/path.

The Tantric Dakini Oracle for divination is based on the authors’ work in the Ranipur Jharial Temple of Orissa, India. The temple contains stone carvings of 64 Dakinis, ancient symbolic representations of the female principles of intuitive wisdom. Dakinis (in Tibetan Buddhism) are sky guardians 🧚‍♂️ who connect us w the deeper mysteries of the self, & it is through them that the secrets of inner transformation are opened. This deck is also intended to reveal psychic powers to individuals by practicing listening to and thereby strengthening intuition. The creators (see penny slinger) advocate for the receiver of the reading to be the interpreter the main messages. Of course, as your guide, I am here to answer questions specific to the cards’ meanings and to help decipher should your messages be unclear.

“The Tree of Life Spread” we will use is a 10-card draw that depicts the chakra centers (of the yoga body) and is intended to direct / engage the kundalini energies. If you are familiar with the chakra system, you may apply your understanding to the positioning of the cards to dive deeper into their meanings. Doing so can also reveal if a reiki meditation may be helpful to close out your session (if of interest to you) which I will facilitate. If you are unfamiliar or if I’ve lost you, it’s ok – there will still be plenty of material for you to work with. I support stand-alone readings as well as those with an energywork component.
