Are you over 30 and still thrashing? This post is for my real rocker friends and clients. You’re going to need to learn (moderation at some point and) these DIY (self-acupressure) points. This will save you after the “Annihilation Time” show (remembering when I said I was done with this behavior….)

Apply firm pressure and massage the areas below. Tiny circles can be nice. You should only need to press down firmly enough to feel a slight pinching sensation. This should be done in small increments until the pressure feels right. If you experience any sharp pains, stop immediately. For a hard-to-reach area, please ask a friend for support. You do not want to use a golf ball and other potentially dangerous objects in your freakin neck!!! I have seen it. It is not a helpful outcome.

—>GB 20 acupuncture points, also known as the Feng Chi (Wind Pool), are found at the base of the skull towards the top of the neck and behind both earlobes.

–>The GB 21 pressure points, also called the Jian Jing, are found on either shoulder, halfway between your neck and the end of the shoulder where your arms begin. 

–>The UB 10 points, Tian Zhu or Heaven’s Pillar, are found at the base of the skull on both sides of the neck. Hold these points for at least 90 seconds and check-in with your range of motion if limited. Keep repeating until you recognize the muscles in your neck softening.
